For the best part of 2023 I published a monthly newsletter.

At the end of each month I’d share some thoughts, a few projects I was working on and some cool links I mainly found on X.

In February this year I took a break because things got busier with life and I had to focus on other areas. But ever since I stopped I’ve felt the need to get back to it.

It was the main thing that was keeping me accountable. I knew that at the end of the month I’d need to share what I did during that month. It really pushed me to be more productive, prioritise my projects and just get things done.

Today I’m back.

It’s going to be a slightly different format and frequency. The problem I had with my monthly updates is that they often felt too long. I just wanted to include too many things, because it turns out that when you’re productive you can get a LOT of things done (who would have thought?!).

This time I want something shorter and snappier so I’m going to aim to send an update every Sunday.

In terms of content - it’ll be a bit like my weekly review. I’m thinking about sending it every Sunday and talk about about what I did during the previous week.

I’m planning to divide it into 3 main sections:

  • Thoughts - a few paragraphs about a specific topic or something I’ve been working on.

  • Commits - a list of tasks I completed during the week.

  • Bookmarks - cool stuff I’ve bookmarked on X or come across on the Internet.

It feels good to be back and writing again!
